Following the completion of his master’s degree at Cranbrook Academy, he arrived at the University of Delaware in 1954 to teach art. He served as department chair from 1966 to 1969. A retrospective of his work was mounted at the Delaware Art Museum from 29 February 2020 to 10 May 2020. This image is a detail of his large oil on canvas.
