On the Art Deco bookcase between the windows, Jacques Jarrige’s "Eve” lamp in patinated bronze is from the artist’s pair of ‘Adam and Eve’ sculptural lamps offered by Valerie Goodman Gallery (available on Incollect.com). The artwork above the bookcase is a lithograph by Alberto Giacometti; nearby, a bench with a verdigris patinated bronze base is in the style of Alberto’s brother, Diego Giacometti. Alyssa chooses hues of ivory for their subtle warmth and richness rather than white, which she finds harsh, especially in city light. Subtle modulations in tone enhance the period architectural details and set off the richly aged patinas of the furnishings. Photo by Joshua McHugh.
