JENNESS CORTEZ Homage to the Creative Spirit Public and Private Commissions Accepted • Cortez Gallery and Studio • Collectors Welcome by Appointment Jenness@JennessCortez.com • JennessCortez.com • Averill Park, NY • Tel. (518) 674-8711 In his youth, Claude Monet proclaimed two ambitions: to be rich and to be famous. He accomplished them both, and his great pleasure was sharing his success with others who had achieved similar distinctions. The honored guests at Giverny gatherings were always treated to the best of everything. In my painting, I imagine an after dinner scene, where an array of sweets is presented before three Monet masterworks: the early “Garden at Sainte-Adresse,” his beautiful “Sailboat at Le Petit Gennevilliers,” and the first of his long and celebrated water lily series, “The Cloud.” I hope you too enjoy this imaginary glimpse into the life and good times of ClaudeMonet. If you have an interest in adding this new painting to your collection, please contact me by email or phone.
