Extremely rare harvest jug by the potter Charles Decker (1832–1914) from his Keystone Pottery in Washington County, Tennessee. With articulated features including modeling around the eyes, long nose and heavy mustache, beard and sideburns and includes a handle and two spouts, resembling the other two known face jugs by Decker. In outstanding, original condition. Salt-glazed stoneware with cobalt details, circa 1875. Height: 12" Provenance: David Good; Private Ohio collection.
