Litch eld, CT . 860-567-9693 A RARE EARLY ROOSTER WEATHERVANE American, probably Pennsylvania, ca. 1860. Molded sheet copper and iron, contemporary wooden base. Great condition with an exceptional oxidized surface. This early hand-made rooster weathervane pre-dates the manufactured examples we normally see and can be considered folk art. The riveted re-enforced pieces on the tail appear to be original. 28¼"h x 21"w (furthest pts.), base: 3½" x 16" x 4" CHIPPENDALE FOUR DRAWER CHEST Hartford County, Connecticut, ca. 1770.
