4 Ambassade de France aux Etats-Unis L ‘ Ambassadeur Dear Friends / Chers Amis, It is my pleasure and privilege to serve as Honorary Diplomatic Chair of the 2017 Washington Winter Show, and to welcome you to this annual celebration of history and tradition in the Nation’s Capital. I am honored to support the Show’s worthwhile causes, each of which strives to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children and families through health, education and the arts, and I am delighted to observe the theme of this year’s Show, The Art of Style. France takes great pride in its history of exquisite style in fashion and the arts, and I am pleased that our traditions will be celebrated at the Show alongside those of America, including through the North American debut of the portraits of legendary designer Coco Chanel painted by California artist Marion Pike.
